Job Description

Performs music therapy services in a professional and compassionate manner utilizing music therapy techniques appropriate for the individual patient and for groups; documents each session in the patient’s electronic medical chart (Epic); provides referrals for additional therapies when appropriate and necessary. Participates as an integral member of an inter disciplinary health care team.

The hours for this position are 2 days a week, flexible hours (12 hours weekly/ 0.3 FTE). Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in music therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Music Therapy Association.
  • Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or board certification is obtained within three months of hire.
  • Maintain current certification and renew every 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing music therapy in a hospital and/or health care setting.
  • Advanced certifications.
